Happy Awards & Sunshine Awards

Well I have only just realised there were two awards given to me during the last month and I haven’t posted about them! Very sorry!

So here we go the first one is called the Happy Award, which is fun and makes you smile. It was kindly given to me by Avie at Hearthwitch Cottage. The idea is to list 10 things which make you happy. Now not too many years ago I would have found this tricky, everything was “going wrong” but after the recent years of new good friends and getting a grip well am much more content so here you are in no particular order:

Obviously Littleun, annoyingly bright in the morning that Smile is worth the glowing numbers on the clock saying 5.00am.

Sitting in the allotment, eating the lunch made with the things we have grown and not caring an apeth about the streaks of mud across my face from all that digging.

My friends, from the new ones in the school playground at collecting time to the long lost one who has returned after many years hiding away in a far corner of the country.

The smell of my chutney, jam and bakes which only a couple of years ago was tinged with that acrid burnt smell but now is wonderfully sweet as we learn more each time we do it.

Those height lines on the wall which started so small and now are so tall.

The buzz at the celebrations when we are gathering for the Sabbats, the hellos, the winks, the joyous laughter & the raucous shout when you see someone you haven’t seen since the previous year.

Watching the Winter waves reclaim the beach spraying wonderfully over the prom in a “its mine” sort of way and the smell of the sea as it does so.

Chocolate. Well I just had to add this one, I defy any woman to say it wouldn’t make her smile to have some given to her!

Music, the right piece for the right mood which will bring back memories of happy times.

My new sort “relationship”, which is neither conventional nor normal but is more going down the road of “let’s just have fun and enjoy ourselves”, without stress or dictations but with giggles and being there for each other when we need to cheer up or laugh or let loose.

The other award has been given this time by Louise over at Wandering along Loopy’s Life Path and is that lovely bright Sunshine award. Lucky me now has been given this twice so thank you ever so and if anyone fancies reading my answers for it do click on the piccie.

Ooh Yay, Blog awards...

Woke up this morning to find the Sun shining, the world still spinning and the lovely thoughts of Rowan at Candles and Wicks who has so very kindly deemed me interesting enough (mad of her I know!) to give me an award.

As usual there are “rules” for the award and as usual I am going to be cheeky and only comply with 2 out of the 3!

Versatile Blogger Award

Wow well this year I have been lucky to be given a few awards and this last week Kathy over at http://jhemterriac.blogspot.com/has given me the Versatile Blogger award. And very kind of her it is too!

Well I can do number one, in fact have, see up top. And number two, well see down bottom, but three and four, I'm rather useless with, find it difficult to choose from so many great blogs that I read so have decided to say if you fancy doing this then link back and let us know about yourself! (yeah cop out but in my defense I'm bogged down with work!!)

So as for the seven things well here goes:

1 I really hate peanut butter, I mean really hate it, would rather cover myself in marmite and lick it all off than eat peanut butter!

2 I hate Marmite.

3 I have decided that I am going back to college in September when Littleun starts school.

4 I am reading three books at once, but only because I cant find the first two.

5 I rather like sitting in my allotment looking down on the town and eating the cake that I can eat because I walked up the blooming steep hill to the allotment in the first place.

6 I dont like paaying £12 to see a film at the cinema as I think its too costly, but will drive 17 miles to the next town and pay £9, forgetting that the cost of fuel probably makes it even...

7 My Aunt became a grandma again this morning, congratulations all!

Ok a soppy one this, but having my Littleun! Yeah I warned you, soppy...

Choosing number 34 instead of 35 of the Chinese menu, really hate peanuts.

Oh heck I’m like the Michelin tyre man, don’t like much about me! So um, I’d guess maybe my eyes, Always got me into trouble!

Ha Ha I have to choose just one?

Some peace and quiet! Then maybe a lot of terry’s chocolate oranges

Yuck Neither! Hate them as I was force-fed them as a kid. Now Terry Pratchetts Discworld on the other hand...

Vanessa Paradis, Not because she’s a great actress or anything like that but because she’s with Johnny Depp.

Lovely CrystalRainbow over at Sparkle and Shine has given me my second type of award in less than a week, (whats that saying about busses...) Thankyou so much, it’s really kind of you and reassuring that there are folk out there who enjoy and understand (I hope!) my Ramblings. When I first started this blog many moons ago (oh ok, last October) I wasn’t sure if I’d be using it as an outlet for rants, a diary or a way to communicate with other like-minded folk. I’m still not sure on the first two points but can say wholeheartedly that I’ve chatted with a great number of great folk since.

Seven random things about me:

1. Despite my moaning I actually quite like see Littleun smiling next to me when he’s woken up early.

2. I recently mastered the art of wearing my hair Pin-up style (not as easy as you’d think!)

3. I couldn’t make my mind up between meatball pasta or pizza for supper so had a meatball pizza.

4. I made vouchers today for Mothers Day on Sunday.

5. It has been 6 months since I started my diet.

6. I just finished reading The Eyre Affair by Jasper Fforde, very funny and clever.

7. I can stand on my head.
